We Appreciate you, Krissy

When we were little, mom would occasionally give us a, "We Appreciate You" party. We wouldn't know about this special surprise until we came to the table. If it was your party, you had a red, "you are special plate" at your place. Under that plate, was a pile of notes from each member of the family, telling you how much they love and appreciate you. -Krissy, you've just come to my blog and found a RED PLATE! It's your day, Girl!- I thought I'd throw her a "We Appreciate You" party to celebrate her recent move. Soon, she will have new students to love and care for. Her former class will not be forgotten, and neither will the impact that she has left behind. Since they can't write letters or communicate the words of appreciation themselves, I thought we'd let their faces share how much she is loved.

Krissy, you have forever made a difference in their lives. We always knew you were the best, and now, there are more to join us....
WE LOVE YOU!!!

Well, I would type something here, but I'm afraid the keyboard is covered in snot and tears. ;)
Thank you, Beck. That made me really happy. You did a beautiful job and I will treasure that always.
I love you,
K

I have snot and tears on my keyboard now, too. Then I made the mistake of showing Mike and I did it again! So proud of you Krissy. God has surely gifted you and you can see from your eyes that you love every minute of it!

Great, great job, Beck!!

Ok, I stopped it after the first picture, because I didn't want to cry. :) But how sweet for you to do this and I agree, I'm sure the impact she had on her students will not be forgotten... I'm sure you will be missed! Can't wait to hear about all the new sweet students you have.

And as I was making it, I too had snot and tears all over my keyboard. Krissy, I'll send you a dvd.

Well, unfortunately for the Boones, I was at their house when I saw this, so it is their keyboard that has snot and tears on it.

I am just going to add my two cents as far as "we appreciate you, Krissy"
You are a dear, dear friend (for those of you who don't know we have been friends since the 9th,oops, I mean 10th grade). We endured high school together, we enjoyed college together, and you, my friend, have always been an encouragement to me along the way. You are a friend whom I love and admire. I am praying for you as you start teaching in a new area. Love ya bunches,
Burge

Thank you, Burge. You are so special to me, too. I wish we saw more of each other, but at least we have millions of fun memories, eh?
Beck, I keep coming back to look at this video. Can you please turn off the live feed so I don't look like I'm completely obsessed? ;)

lol, Burge...I mean about the snot and tears on the Boone's keyboard...not about the sweet note you wrote to Krissy. :o)

And to you, my obsessed one, your wish is my command....anything for the girl of the hour.

O.K. I too have to join the club of snot and tears all over the keyboard. What a beautiful and inspiring tribute! God has certainly given you a very special gift, Krissy. May He bless you in your new job. At least you will be a little closer to New England

Not only was the keyboard covered in snots and tears, but so was Miss Maggie b/c as I was watching this I held her a little tighter while she slept. You are an amazing woman Krissy! (and Beck for doing this) You have been God's gift to everyone that you touch. I'm so proud of you.
Love you

Do you have any idea how grateful the Mommies and Daddies have been when dropping their children off in your cheerful classroom? They saw your love every day....Your gift comes from God alone, Krissy. We see your heart so clearly in this video.

Becky...thank you for capturing it so beautifully.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got snot and tears of my own to deal with.

Tracey, you're so funny. (Krissy, see what you started with the club of snot and tears) We're a hormonal wreck in here!

Liz, didn't you learn your lesson the first time?

Tam, lol on the subway! I'm sure she will!

Tami, Liz, Deanna,Tracy! You girls are so sweet. One thing's for sure--I have been incredibly blessed to know and work with these children.
I've got 9 more little ones to get to know this year and am looking forward to many more blessings. By the way, I met one of my new little autistic guys this afternoon and the first thing he did was whallup me in the stomach. Ha ha ha. . . WEEEELCOME TO DC, Miss Krissy!! =)
P.S. Ummmm, Tami? It's called the Metro and only the coolest of cool ride it. If you ever come to visit, I'll see if I can get you on. ;) Lol!

Becky said...

Man! you'd think I could ride the cool train....I'm the one that made the stinken video!

Kris said...

Well, considering you can't even spell the word "stinkin'" correctly, not only could you ride the metro, you could ride it straight to my school and do a little spelling practice while you're there.

Becky said...

I want the emphasis to be on the "EN." I stand by my spelling. Who needs your stink-EN metro, anyway. We have Amtrak, and that's where the REAL cool cats hang out!

Krissy, I am so proud of you! You have amazing "stick to it" power that clearly comes form a heart of love and devotion.

Becky, I thank you very much for the "sister love" that went into making this.

Love you both.
