Vacation = total relaxation

Mark 6:31 And He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while."

One of my favorite passages! Jesus recognized our need to get away and rest. :o) That's just what we did this past week. We had a wonderful, fun-filled, relaxing vacation at family camp. The kids were reunited with their friends. Within minutes, they were off riding thier bikes, laughing and having a wonderful time. Joel and I found the rocking chairs with "our names on them" and sat with coffees in hand, enjoying the peace and quiet. -no media terrorizing us about thefts, murders and horrible grocery and gas prices. God blessed our time together. During this restful period, we were rejuvinated through the preaching of His word. How thankful I am that each year, it has been something that we especially needed. Although we were on vacation, God's working in our lives sure wasn't! I am home now...refreshed and refocused on the job that God has given me to do.

Last, but certainly not the least of our praises...the Lord sold our house while we were away! :o)

Here a few photos from this past week....

(Friends of ours that I grew up attending family camp with. I've known these sisters since I was 4. Now, that we are the moms, our children are enjoying running around camp with each other. It's so sweet to see "history repeating itself.")

Beautiful pictures. It looks like you had so much fun. I can't believe how much Amy & Kimmy's little girls look like them!

By the way, did you special order that cloud from God for your picture? Fabulous!

So much fun -- I think Kenny and I are going to have to join you up there one day. :) Glad you had fun, but certainly glad you are home so I can have someone to call and speaking of which, I might just go do that now..... :)

K and A,
Those are friends from camp. The boy in the picture with Matt is "Ben" and the girl standing with Emma is "Madison." (your mom would know her daddy. They went to highschool together.) They all had fun palling around together.
