Chinese Telephone
Remember the game called "Chinese Telephone?" You whisper a secret to the person next to you, and then they whisper the secret to the person next to them, and around it goes until it reaches the last person who gets to tell everyone what they heard. We played that game with the kids tonight. For some reason, the secret was always falling apart right about here:
When we figured out the problem, Joel said, "Ok, I think we have a bad connection in our telephone wires....Hey, Annie, why don't you go move next to Matt."
Well, things didn't get much better.
Cuz we were left with this "connection" on one side of the table....
And this one on the other....
Why is it that "potty humor" seems to crack them up every time?

So cute, Beck! And as far as potty humor.......why do you think I love Jr. Highers so much? It's still sooooo funny! :)
Oh for crying out loud, you mean to tell me that I've got to endure this for another decade?!!!
Oh ho hoooooo, one of my favorite childhood games (that is, until you and Annie got old enough to play)! Same thing even back then. It could have been a phrase as simple as "The sky is blue," and it always, never fail ended up with one of you two birds saying "Peanut butter and jelly sandwich!"
T, I'm right there with ya on the potty humor.
Too funny -- I know, I thought with girls it wouldn't be as funny that potty humor was a boy thing, but nope, my girls think its hilarious. Or burping -- a really clear thing Amelia can say is "I buwped" and then they start. :) I've never heard this game called Chinese telephone though.
Woe-hold on there! Excuse me if all I had on my mind was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
May I remind you of your brainiac decision to slick your hair down with an entire container of Vaseline because you wanted to be the "Fonz" from Happy Days. yee-uh, reeeeeel cool there,Kris..REEEEEELL cool!
Ayeeeeeeeeeeee, do you mind? That's been a family secret I've managed to keep to myself all these years and you go and blow it the year I turn 37. Thanks.
Lol, sure enough, I did do that and the embarrassing part is that I was in 6th grade at the time. Showed up at school the next day with the greasiest hair in the class (which I might add is a disgusting accomplishment and NOT an one to be proud of).
LOL! You're probably still washing that stuff out, aren't ya?
FYI It wasn't peanut butter and Jelly
It was "KOO-BE-JA-LA"
For cryin'outloud, Krissy....Vaseline????
Now ya tell me!
I think you greased up as the Fonz more than once....doh! sorry......
DeAnna, why is it that your comments don't come to my e-mail? I've gotten all of these comments sent first to my e-mail except yours. Is it something up with my settings?
I think your blog hates me, that's why.
Wow Kris, 37!! So glad I haven't hit 30 yet. :)
Any age related jokes directed towards the blogmaster's sister are automatically placed in the trash bin, Deanna! So sorry your comments have been deleted, but try to be a little more supportive of Becky's aging older sister next time. . .
Beck, I hate to tell you but Brian is 31 and still thinks that the potty stuff is so funny. And it has passed down to Jack. Jack toots in the tub to make bubbles and starts to laugh so hard that he does it again!
Ok, that is cute, Liz. -about Jack tooting, not Brian. :o) If it's beginning this early, I'm afraid you've got yourself a LONG "tooting" road ahead of you.
Awkward! Hey, Sydney Bristow, I see you now have a live traffic feed on here. Man, guess there's no more checking your blog more than once a day without the whole world knowing I have no life.
And I come to check her blog, go through the whole security check, body search and then find out she hasn't even updated..... what a waste.
Ladies, Ladies, Ladies, please control yourselves. I have to keep it safe around here for all of your protection!
How's this...my own blog just told me that I was not authorized reader!
I am totally with you, Deanna! My feeling is that if we are willing to withstand such an invasion of our privacy, the absolute LEAST she can do is post a couple of cute pics and a story or two!
Sheeeesh--I was locked out of the blog and missed all the fun!! Hi ev-er-y-bo-dy!!!! :)
Cool--just came back to check the live feed, too. Who am I??
Doh---does that mean I'm insecure and have no life??
P.S. LOL-K-with the Sydney Bristow comment--'scuuuuze me if I used to watch her every week!
