A Fun Summer Day

Today, we met my sister, my aunt and my cousin at the park.

It was a perfect summer day. Not too hot, not too cold. Our first stop was the "flower showers" at the water park.

There were those who loved the water....

And then of course, there are those who don't.....

Jack was among those who loved it! He thought he was hot stuff, hanging out with the big kids. You would think that he'd burst into tears being "trapped" in a sea of sprinklers. But oh no! he was having the time of his life out there!

If only you could have heard the little "slap, slap sound" that his chubby feet were making against the wet cement...

And Miss Maggie looks as though she just contributed to the "wet cement." She's got some type of funny secret going on here...

After the water park, Aunty Susie treated us all to a train ride.

The kids loved the train!

(You're good Jack...the sign didn't say "heads", buddy.)

One of my favorite pictures from the day. There is something so precious about that little, baby arm around his mamma's neck. These are the little moments that we just don't think about until they're past.

Such sweetness, such security in his mommy....

Enjoy that chubby, little arm, Liz. Soon, it will be a big muscular, hairy one. :o)

It looks like so much fun!! What a fun water park. Isabella would love it -- not sure if Amelia would like it or be more like Annie, it would depend on her mood and what food was offered. :) I was looking through your blog the other day and then comparing it to these pictures, and Matt looks like he has grown up so much the past year. And I LOVE Mary's little swimsuit she's wearing, or is it just shorts and a tank top... either way, love it!

I'm sure Isabella would have loved it, too! It's the cutest park! I'll take you when you guys come. (hint, hint!) :o) Amelia, don't worry, sugar, Annie will hook you up with some good snacks. :o)

Funny you should mention how big Matt has gotten, because that was the first thing my aunt said, too. I did notice the other day that I use to be able to rest my chin on his head, and now, he's at my nose!

Oh and Mary's suit came with that little skirt. -cute, huh?

I agree, Matt is getting big! Can't wait to do it again! The kids were so tired they both slept through the night! I'll go everyday for a full nights sleep!:o) Season pass here we come! So looks like Isabella (love that name), Jack, and all the big kids will be playing in the water while Maggie, Annie, and Amelia will be chowin' down on something yummy!
Thanks again, Beck, for the pictures. I look at them and wish we never had to leave!
Love you

I love that name, too! Mikey still says that he's going to marry her. He's been in love since he first set eyes on her picture at age 2! :o)

Liz, you can include me in the "chowing group" with Maggie, Annie and Amelia. Awesome that the munchkins slept the whole night! -wow! They certainly did their best to keep up with the big kids, until those little fists were rubbing away in their eyes. :o) Did they cry when you put them in the car and hauled them away from "funland?" Or did you cry? :o)

DeAnna, STILL NO PHONE!!!!! Can you believe it? I feel like a pioneer woman up here, cut off from everyone! Hope Kenny had a great birthday!

What a fun day we had! I wished I lived closer to Look Park. I actually did get a season pass one year and we had so much fun. They even have a really nice bike path we could try sometime. Between the three of us, I think we could get everyone on bikes (if Emma can ride herself??) I'm thinking that's a .... YES! Let's do it again! Deanna--come anytime (although your commute would be a little longer!) :)

Oh yes, definitely count me in on the chowing down group --running around in a swimsuit or eating some snacks on the sidelines... yeah, not such a tough choice for me. :)

Looks like you guys had a BLAST! Liz, I can NOT believe how grown up the Jack and Maggie are!! They are positively adorable. Can't wait to squeeze them when I come home. Love you guys and miss you so much.

Kris-when are you coming home? And what the heck are you doing up at 4:25 in the morning? They are getting big, too fast! It is getting hard to carry the two of them at the same time.
